Week 3: DIY Instruments
3/30 - 4/3
Out of recycled products, or items that you find in and around your home, I challenge you to create your very own musical instrument! It could be your own version of: a drum, a rattle, a shaker, a guitar, a xylophone, a flute/recorder, a whistle, etc. The requirement for your instrument(s) is that it is either able to make AT LEAST 2 contrasting sounds - EX: High/Middle/Low, Loud/Soft, Rattle/Boom. If you'd like, you can decorate your instrument and give it a creative name! Grades 3-6: Make sure you know which instrument family your instrument would belong in, and report that in the task completion survey!
You will find some examples of potential ideas below, but you are not limited to only these ideas!
If you're feeling proud of your creation this week and want to e-mail me a picture or a video of you with your instrument, I would love to see what your creative minds come up with!
In the email with a photo or video, please let me know if your family IS NOT OKAY with the image/video being shared on my website for your classmates and friends to see! If the email does not state that it should not be shared/uploaded to my website, I will assume that is it okay to share as of any/all images provided from April 1, 2020 and after.
